For the second straight year, Twitter will host a Livestream of The Game Awards.
The Livestream will be available free-of-charge to Twitter users globally via live.twitter.com/thegameawards or @thegameawards, with the pre-show starting at 5:30 p.m. PT/8:30 p.m. ET Dec. 7, followed by the two-hour awards show.
The Game Awards is an annual awards ceremony for the video-game industry, and it is produced and hosted by media entrepreneur Geoff Keighley.
A Twitter timeline will accompany the Livestream, including real-time conversation, live comments, and Twitter user polls. Including the hashtag #TheGameAwards in tweets will also unlock a hashtag-triggered emoji.
Fans will also be able to vote on the event’s biggest awards via direct message.
Twitter said the Livestream and highlight clips will include advertising packages with TV-style spots and pre-rolls.
