The Ataribox Set For Spring 2018 Debut

So far there is little we know about Atari new home console, The Ataribox, but the company recently let out a sliver of information via email newsletter. We already got a glimpse of the proposed deign, which features a retro Atari 2600 look, but when it's coming and how much had not been answered until now.

The Ataribox is set to launch in the spring of 2018, but an exact date has not been set as of now. We also know that the console will feature an AMD customized processor and run Linux, so you'll be able to tinker with the OS and access games bought from other platforms, as well as do all the usual PC-for-TV things, such as streaming, listening to music and navigating social media.

As far as pricing goes, they are saying it will set you back somewhere in the $250-$300 range. The also promise info on games very soon. 

If you are looking to be first in line to get your hands on the system, there may be a way. Fans who get involved with the Indiegogo campaign, coming this fall, will be able to get their hands on special editions and exclusive pricing.
