Willow Smith turned 17 this week (Oct 20) and she released her sophomore album, The 1st. The 11-track effort was a new experience for Willow, and she let the vibes of her creative spirit guide the recording process.
“This album is the first step into me diving 100 percent into my musicality,” Willow recently told Refinery29. “For my last album, I spent a lot of time on the computer producing, so this time I was learning the guitar as I created the album and focused more on composing and instrumentation. I was seeking the answer to the question, ‘Who am I as an artist, really?’ I’m so excited for people to hear what’s in my heart.” The 1st is available now on all streaming platforms.

Twitter: @KGBlu Instagram: @kgthemovie Kevin Brophy says that he has never met rapper Cardi B, nor has he ever spoken to her people, but an image on Cardi B's mixtape, "Gangsta Bitch Music Vol. 1," would lead many to believe otherwise. This is why Brophy is now suing the "Bodak Yellow" rapper for using his image without consent.
According to a report by TMZ, Brophy is suing Cardi B for $5 million. He claims that the male model on the mixtape cover is clearly him, as he has had the tattooed image on his back for over 10 years, however, he never agreed to let the image be used. Further complicating things, the cover makes it appear like the male model is performing oral sex on Cardi, and Brophy says that is causing issues with his family life.
According to the docs, obtained by TMZ, the artwork made for a seriously awkward moment when Brophy's pre-K son asked what Daddy was doing in the picture, and who's that girl? Brophy says his son keeps bringing it up, too.

Twitter: @KGBlu Instagram: @kgthemovie There have been many rumors going around on who will be performing at halftime of Super Bowl LII in Minneapolis next year. Names such as Taylor Swift, Adele and Jay-Z were all thrown out there, but yesterday (October 22) we got the official news. Justin Timberlake is your halftime performer. Timberlake, with a little help from his BFF Jimmy Fallon, dropped the news on Twitter.
This will mark the first time the Memphis singer has graced the Super Bowl Halftime stage since his infamous duet with Janet Jackson, which was way more revealing than TV censors wanted. Timberlake also performed at the Super Bowl in 201 as a member of the group N'Sync.
Super Bowl LII will take place Feb. 4 in Minneapolis.
For fans, friends and family of the late Selena Quintanillia, November 3rd will be a day they will remember forever. This will be the day the "Dreaming of You" singer will receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. On top of that, the city of Los Angeles has declared Nov. 3 to be Selena Day.
The late Tejano music icon’s family is scheduled to gather for the dedication ceremony, together with actress Eva Longoria and Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti, who will proclaim the date “Selena Day.”
The ceremony will take place at 6:30 pm at the site of Quintanilla’s Hollywood star, in front of the Capitol Records building. The Walk of Fame Selection Committee had first announced in 2016 that Selena would be honored with a star. On Tuesday (Oct. 17), Google premiered an animated Selena Quintanilla Google Doodle, commemorating Quintanilla’s debut solo album Selena, which was released on Oct. 17, 1989. Her final album, the crossover recording "Dreaming of You", was released posthumously on July 18, 1995, and ultimately became her first No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart. Source: Billboard
Maroon 5 continues to release new singles from their forthcoming Red Blue Pills album, which is slated for a Nov. 3 release.
After unleashing the SZA-assisted “What Lovers Do” and the Gucci Mane and Future–assisted “Cold (Remix).\,” the boys and A$AP Rocky are back to reminisce about those drunken nights with ex-lovers. Listen to “Whiskey” below.
New York City’s Hammerstein Ballroom has been host to many epic events, and on November 21st, the venue will be set to possibly host another one. According to a new report, the members of Dipset will unite with the members of A$AP Mob to perform at Spotify’s RapCaviar concert. This means Cam'ron, Jim Jones, and Juelz Santana will be back together, even if it's for just one night.
The news of this reunion does come as somewhat of a surprise given the tension between some of the former group mates. It has been over 10 years since Dipset released Immunity 2. Over the last few years, Cam'ron and Jim Jones have had a very public feud. In fact, it was just last year that Cam went on The Angie Martinez Show and threw some verbal jabs at Jones over his signing with Roc Nation. But 2017 is a new year and it seems like it's all water under the bridge, for now.
As for the Mob, things have been going a little better for them. The collective recently dropped their joint project, Cozy Tapes Vol. 2 and are embarking on their Too Cozy Tour. The Dipset x A$AP Mob concert will take place on Nov. 21. Pre-sale tickets are currently on sale, while general sale tickets will be available, starting Friday, Oct. 20 at 11 a.m. EST. You can find more information here.
