You Diss Me I Diss You Too: Nicki Minaj and Remy Ma Continue Their Beef With Two New Tracks6/9/2017
If you thought the war of words between Nicki Minaj and Remy Ma was over, you better think again. In the last 24 hours, two new tracks were added to this feud.
Nicki struck first at last night's (June 8) listening party for 2Chainz new album, Pretty Girls Like Trap Music. 2Chainz previewed a snippet of his collaborated track “Realize,” in which Nicki used her verse to call out Remy and her husband Papoose. Nicki’s verse was played over a trap beat, calling out Remy’s penmanship on her lethal diss track, “Ether.” “Papoose wrote the ‘ETHER’ record, but I broke Aretha record,” she raps. The lyric in his reference to Nicki’s recent milestone in which she surpassed legend Aretha Franklin for most hits on the Billboard Hot 100 as a female artist.
Not to be out done, Remy Ma wasted no time in clapping back. This morning (June 9), the "All The Way Up" rapper released a brand you track called "Mask Off." In the song, Remy raps: “Murder next/Who I’m murder next?/Maybe her, nah she ain’t worth it yet/I burned you/Your new name is Bernadette.”
Outside of the beef, Remy has a busy weekend ahead. The Bronx native will be performing at Summer Jam in New Jersey this weekend. Don't be surprised if "Mask Off" and "Shether" are heavily featured. You can check out a video of the preview of "Realize" and stream "Mask Off" below.
