Major news broke this morning (Nov. 3) from BMW AG and it is not good for the company. The Germany-based car company is recalling 1 million vehicles in North America. The recall is due to two separate issues that cause five risks. While the recall is strictly for North America, they may extend the recall to other regions in the future.
The first of the recalls cover 670,000 BMW 3-Series vehicles sold in the U.S. for model years 2006-2011. These vehicles may have a wiring issue in the heating and air conditioning system. This issue can cause the vehicles to overheat which raise the risk of the car catching fire.
The second recall covers 740,000 BMWs sold in the US for model years 2007-2011. These vehicles have a valve heater that could rust and lead to a fire in rare cases. The recall includes some 128i vehicles, 3-Series, 5-Series and X3, X5 and Z4 vehicles.
BMW said both recalls followed recent meetings with the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

The 2018 Jeep Wrangler is set to debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show on November 29th, but the folks at Autoblog.com have given us a sneak peek at what we can expect. Jeep has released a trio of photos showing off the new off-roader in both two- and four-door configurations, and they look good.
There are no engine, transmission, or other specifications yet. Those will all come at the aforementioned reveal in LA. However, we expect it to be initially offered with a V6 with either manual or automatic transmissions, followed by a turbocharged four-cylinder with just an automatic.
When groups come together to do good they often produce great results, this is definitely the case when it comes to this new limited edition Nike Air Force 1. Socially conscious non-profit Global Citizen Festival has joined forces with M5 Showroom to launch the limited-edition "Freedom And Justice For All" Nike Air Force 1, set for a release at this year’s ComplexCon.
Only 10 pairs of the limited-edition sneakers will be on stock, which features a laser map of the world engraved on each shoe. All the proceeds will go to the festival’s initiative to end extreme world property by 2030. Additionally, M5 will also be selling Pintrill pins, M5 New Era caps and Master Dynamic headphones. The profit made on those items will also go to the cause.
ComplexCon’s activation booth will also include a “For Freedom. For Justice. For All,” section, which will provide attendees with information on the initiative. The event will take place on November 4 and 5 in Long Beach, California.
