In the world of social media, a good post can make you, and it can cut you down from the highest of pedestals. No platform displays the public's ability to turn on you better than Twitter. Top celebrities, athletes and politicians have all let 140 characters be their downfall. It's why one should always choose words and images wisely when tweeting, and our 44th president, Barack Obama, recently did just that with a touching and inspiring message after the tragedy during the Charlottesville, VA protests.
As you can see in the picture above, the former POTUS is getting a lot of love for his tweet promoting unity. In fact, Obama's tweet was so popular that it has officially become the most like tweet of all time. The tweet took less than a day to gain 3.3 million likes, breaking the previous record. The tweet is still gaining in popularity as it is over 4.4 million like as of this writing. This tweet wasn't the only popular tweet from Barack, two other tweets that were posted along with the above tweet have gain 1.6 and 1.4 million likes.
Leave it up President Obama to show us all how twitter is supposed to be done.
