Cardi B has decided to withdraw from the upcoming Bruno Mars 24K Magic World Tour. The first time mom is saying that she isn't quite ready to tour because she is still recovering from the mental and physical exhaustion of giving birth to her daughter Kulture.
“I thought that after giving birth to my daughter that 6 weeks would be enough time for me to recover mentally and physically,” wrote the Be Careful rapper. “I also thought that I’d be able to bring her with me on tour, but I think I underestimated this whole mommy thing. Not only am I just not ready physically, I’m not ready to leave my baby behind since the doctors explained it’s not healthy for her to be on the road.”
Bruno Mars addressed the situation on his social media account. “I know the fans will understand. You are absolutely doing the right thing,” he wrote. “I also know we’ll share the stage when the time is right. We love you Cardi and we will play ‘Bodak Yellow’ every night in your honor.”
The 24K Magic World Tour kicks off on Sept. 7, in Denver, and is expected to conclude in Oct. 2018. It is unclear if Cardi will be replaced with another act at this time.
