The Big 3 League is taking over Chicago's United Center today as they bring their exciting brand of basketball to the stadium that Michael Jordan built.
The league, which is run by the likes of rapper Ice Cube and former NBA great Clyde Drexler, among others, will feature four games in Chi-town tonight. The games are played as 3-on-3 games and feature many former NBA players.
The first game tonight can be seen on Facebook Watch. It will feature the 0-1 Ghost Ballers challenging the 0-1 Killer 3s. The Ballers feature Mike Bibby, Ricky Davis, and former Chicago Bull Carlos Boozer. The Killer 3s are captained by Stephen Jackson and also includes another former bull in Metta World Peace (Ron Artest).
Game two will see the broadcast move to Fox and will showcase Tri-State is 1-0 vs the 0-1 Ball Hogs. Tri-state features Nate Robinson, Jermaine O'Neal and surprise leading scorer David Hawkins. Deshawn Stevenson leads the Ball Hogs.
Game three is a battle between two 1-0 teams, Power and 3's Company. Cuttino Mobley, along with Chicago originals Corey Maggette and Quentin Richardson, help provide the charge for Power. 3's Company also has a player with Chicago roots in Jason Maxiell.
The finale features a rematch of last year's championship game as the defending champs Trilogy (0-1) take on last year's runner up 3-Headed Monster (1-0). Trilogy has Rashad McCants, the MVP of last year's championship game, leading them. 3-Headed Monster hopes that last seasons leading scorer, Rashard Lewis, along with Reggie Evans and Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf can help them live up to the hype of their name.
Tickets are still available here if you want to witness the action in person, otherwise TV coverage starts at 6 PM on Facebook Watch, then continues at 7 PM on Fox.
