In a major move that has rocked the world of broadcasting. Sinclair Broadcasting Group, the parent company of Ring of Honor, has purchased Tribune Media Company for a massive $3.9 billion. This gives Sinclair control of an additional 42 networks in 33 markets and includes WGN, WGN America, Antenna TV and many ABC, NBC, Fox and CW affiliates.
What this means for wrestling fans and specifically fans of Ring of Honor is not yet known, but the possibilities are very interesting. This new acquisition could very well lead to see ROH in many more markets and will no doubt help the company attract even bigger stars to add to their already impressive roster.
As more info is made public on how ROH will be affected, we will let you know right here on Going Broadway.
