IGN, the popular gaming/tech/entertainment news site, is planning to go big with their coverage of the 2017 San Diego Comic Con (SDCC). The site will be teaming up with twitter to provide a livestream of coverage for all the fans who can't make the trip.
IGN Live from SDCC will be hosted and produced by IGN and will be livestreamed from the San Diego Convention Center show floor, IGN’s Hard Rock Hotel production space and locations throughout San Diego’s Gaslamp District.
Coverage on IGN Live will include things like exclusive interviews with SDCC participants, pre-show and post-show coverage, behind-the-scenes coverage, cosplay highlights and more. The livestream will be accessible to all twitter users via comiccon.twitter.com and ign.com. It will feature ads in a tv-style presentation.
This will be the second time IGN and Twitter have hooked up to livestream a major event, the two got together to provide streaming coverage of the recent E3 conference in mid June.
SDCC will begin on July 20 and run through July 23. You can get more info on the event here.
