Friday (June 23), Marvel rolled out the re-launch of their Marvel Legacy series. Most of the comics were just a continuation from the previous series, but one cover showed us a fiery surprise, the return of Johnny Blaze.
Johnny Blaze, aka Ghost Rider, is officially making his return to Marvel Comics, and he's bring some friends along with him.
This fall, the Spirits of Vengeance series will return featuring a crew of fan-favorites including the Johnny Blaze incarnation of Ghost Rider alongside Blade, Daimon Hellstrom, and Satana. Like other comics in the Marvel Legacy series, the cover will pay homage to the past as it will mimic the Giant X-Men #1 cover featuring Storm, Nightcrawler, Colossus, and Thunderbird.
A more recent version of the character — Robbie Reyes — debuted in 2013 and drove a flaming car instead of Ghost Rider’s iconic motorcycle. The Robbie Reyes version of Ghost Rider is the one that’s part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, having been played by actor Gabriel Luna in this past season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
